A heart-rate source. That's it.
Apple Watch, a chest strap, or a gym machine that broadcasts heart rate. Most people arrive already able to play. Without one, you can still demo any game, and the app tells you plainly that the session won't count.
Treadmill, bike, stair mill, elliptical
Connect a Bluetooth FTMS machine and speed, incline and power feed the game. Each machine type shows only the numbers it actually measures. A stair mill never gets a fake pace.
The game reacts to effort, not taps
Phone on the console, watch on your wrist. Every game is driven by where your heart rate sits against your target zone. Your hands are for the handrails.
Time in zone. Rate the effort. Test the mile.
Progress is measured by time at or above your zone, your own effort rating taken before you see the numbers, and routine mile assessments that calibrate both. No vanity metric that changes with the machine.
“Cardio isn't boring. Staring at a number for thirty minutes is.” Every game here is a training-zone workout wearing a costume. The costume is what gets you to minute thirty.
